Lots of people spend money on the teacher planners available on various websites, I have found the best way to plan and track lessons is via Evernote. It is such a powerful tool for lesson planning and also compiling resources. Along with Wunderlist it is my top teacher app. 

Use this template in a notebook and plan your term by term lessons. These are set up for 6 periods days that are on a 2 week timetable but can be quickly modified.
